In life, there are times when we need to make seemingly impossible choices that require us to shoulder enormous responsibility. In those moments, we struggle to find our way. Which way should we go? What should we do? Yes or no? No or yes? Every action has a reaction and every choice has an effect.

Some examples of this…

  • Business and Financial Decisions: Each choice is likely to affect and/or influence our future. Often, when we do not know what to do, the indecision only serves to exacerbate an already-complex situation.
  • Marriage: Marriage is a key life-altering decision. It brings about a new set of circumstances that are full of major and minor choices. Each choice is further complicated and compounded with anxiety because it no longer just affects one person. Each choice affects the couple – and their family.
  • Child Rearing: Parents struggle with those they love most—their children. They yearn to show support and demonstrate their love and commitment even when their children would prefer otherwise. When the children struggle, the parent’s struggle with constant doubt and uncertainty on how or whether to approach them.
  • Health: When dealing with health related issues, the decision can be daunting regarding treatment options and worse case scenarios. The influx of information, referrals and recommendations can add a layer of confusion that makes the choice more difficult.

All of the above situations – and countless others – compel clear decisions and answers. Yet, more often than not, we stand vacillating at the crossroads because we are unsure of ourselves and the decisions we will ultimately have to make. Indecision and uncertainty merely compound already difficult situations.

There is a way. A unique and astounding method that is specifically tailored to each person in his or her own right. Wisdom that is intrinsic to the individual and created on the day you were born. The information is found in your name.

Your name. It is that simple.

Every decision that you make – no matter the size or consequence – is encoded into your soul and there is a way to access this information: through Numerology.

Your name is your fundamental source of self. It encompasses the bond between your soul and your reality. There is a force secreted deep within the letters of your name that leads you to achieve your spiritual and physical destiny.

Jewish Sages teach that parents receive divination when naming their child. Each name connects a person’s essence to their soul – to the person they can become.

The holy letters that comprise a person’s name are not the only decider of one’s fate. Every letter of one’s name has multiple facets and combinations of letters and dimensions. Positive or negative deeds and actions affect the letters by illuminating or diminishing a letter or combination of letters. By decoding the letters properly, one can understand their ultimate purpose.

The letters of your name are also linked to another series of combinations rooted in your date of birth. The numbers of one’s date of birth – the day, month, and year and their sum – represents the Path of Destiny.

It’s not incidental that one’s birthday is a time when family and friends join him or her in celebrating life. Birthdays have a deep personal significance that reaches far beyond the party or affair. The extra dimensions and meanings attached to this significant date can help guide a person through their life decisions – particularly the toughest ones in life – because it represents their personal path forward.

This is a direct conduit to one’s destiny. With it, one can discover and utilize latent strengths in order to attain the pinnacle of success.

Numerology, is the Number Theory that reveals man’s connection to their soul. It is based on the letters of one’s name. By combining their numerical value, you can discover hidden facets of your past, present and even prepare for their future.

The wisdom of Numerology is drawn from multiple biblical texts. The Midrash Pesikta d’Rav Kahana (Chapter 4) explains that when Adam named all creatures of the world, including himself and Chava, each name was based on their unique hidden spiritual essence. He expounds at length upon this subject in the preface to Beit Yitzchak (Orach Chaim C. 120).

In Bereishis, we find certain instances where the power of one’s name can negatively affect their current state of being. Only by changing their name do they change their outcome. The most famous example is that of Avraham found in Sefer Bereishis (15:5),“And He brought him outside.” Rashi comments based on the following Midrash, “Avram has no son, yet Avraham has a son. Sarai shall not give birth; yet Sarah shall give birth. I am calling you by another name, [so] your fortune will change.” In this example, the name is linked to infertility and only by adding a letter to their names can they merit the blessing of children.

Talmud Bavli, Rosh Hashanah (daf 16), teaches that by changing a name, one can change their mazal. This concept is expounded on in the Rashba (Vol. 5 Ch. 48). The Rashba (also citing the Ibn Ezra on this topic) states that a name indicates one’s mazal and when a person changes his name, his mazal can changes.

In the Rishonim, there is a discussion about naming a child. They caution naming that child after someone who was a rasha because they understood that a name effects one’s personality and future.

The Arizal, in Shaar Hagilgulim (Preface 23), reveals that when a baby is named, their parents’ have the zechus to understand their child’s essence and soul. The Sfas Emes likewise writes at length about this subject.

Chazal writes that a person’s future can be alluded to in numbers. One such example is found in Meseches Sanhedrin (93). It recounts the lesson that Rabbi Tanchum drew from the following pasuk in Rus: “These six barleys that you gave me.” This pasuk is a reference to the six sons that Rus will have and the six blessings she will receive. There are many other examples cited by early sages that are interpreted using the wisdom of numerology. The Maharal, in particular, wrote prolifically of the number seven and its intrinsic power.

Likewise, the Geonim discuss the wisdom of numerology at length. They frequently cite Rabbi Nachshon bar Tzadok Gaon, the Rosh Yeshivah in the city of Sura, who engaged in the study of Gematria and used it to calculate the Jewish calendar.
